Nostalgia Comes In Many Flavors posted Apr 6th 2007, 7:48AM
Mood: ALIVE!
In recent days, I've gone back and looked at some of the older games I had, and played as a kid and as well as a change of tone from my last post, I'll just put my thoughts on it. If you're not a gamer and don't really care, then just skip to the end, where I have other stuff to say D:
I laugh at how much I sound like a reviewer, but please, I mean this mostly as a reminiscent sense Any other game that you liked and you recall, I am more than happy to hear about it in a comment n.n

Final Fantasy 8 was one of my fave RPGs ever since I first picked it up. Though it confused the hell outta me at first, once I got used to the whole junction thingie in it, it was really good n.n Also, it was a solid solid story until what seemed like the end of the first disc. And especially with that one event that I won't spoil, but the one where they all come to a conclusion about all their pasts...seriously...What the hell.

Beyond Good and Evil. Just wow D: I was amazed with this game. Everything about it just was soooo good. The music, the fights, I just wish it was longer T_T too bad it was really unnoticed.

Star Ocean: Second Story Incredible fighting system for PS1, and the high number of endings, though nothing as wide as Valkyrie Profile, made it worth playing over again...plus certain party members make others impossible to get, there's a reason for another run.

Ocarina Of Time: It's Ocarina of time. 'Nuff said It just rawked for sooo many reasons

Final Fantasy Legends III: The very first FF I ever played, as well as one of a series no one really knows Really long for a Game Boy game...Yes, the gray brick Game Boy.

Legend Of The Dragoon:I hear mixed reviews about this game, but I liked it. The battle system was new and original to me, and I loved the flow of the music. That plus, I liked how the healing item went by a percentage and not a number

Crimson Sea 2: It's a third person shooter with lots of replay value. Kinda underground, if you ask me. Funny as hell though, the type on the cover of it is so weird, that when I saw it on the shelves, I thought it said "Crimson Sex 2." Which made me go "Wait, what!" Don't need to play the first, there's this little kid that essentially lets you watch a full CG sequence summing up the whole story. True story: The last boss, I beat in a single combo of like, at least 300 hits it's not as impressive as it sounds. The main guy can like stop time for a moment, so I just stopped time to reload then continued so my combo wouldn't disappear.

Final Fantasy Tactics: Is by far one of the most difficult games I have ever played. The story itself is, in my opinion, the most intricate, and probably the best of all the FFs. Tactics takes some getting used to, one of my biggest problems was the "Perma-Death" like in fire emblem. Not cool :C

Arc The Lad: Well, the first three in particular. The newer ones for the PS2 are horrendous D: The first two were amazing. IT's like a hybrid tactical RPG and it was just fun to play. The story was great too, and I loved how the first and second carried over well. The second has some of my favorite story twists ever. And I'll have to stifle my desire to spoil to simply reccomend everyone play it. It's available as a 3-game collection for the PS1 for like 40-50$ american, I beleive. And it's like sooooo many hours of gameplay and lots of cool extras

Disgaea:Hour of Darkness: Is the prodigy game of Nippon Ichi D: It's like just soooo good. The Dialouge was what sucked me into the game. The very first time I heard Laharl shout out that he was prince of the netherworld and then shortly after cackle maniacally, I knew I had to play more The fights were great and the game always had a challenge. If you liked this one, Makai Kingdom is really good too. It's much more free movement than the grid. My complaint with Makai kingdom though, is the overly present feeling of solitude. Especially when at the home base.

(This is a repost through all my accounts so forgive if I just relink the service this is on Laziness.)
Extra thing! I finally set up a DA, FA, and Sheezy art for my vore stuffs and everything else related. Much in the style of what Seruomen did, watch me, I watch you. Sounds fair and easy. If I forget to, just PM me or note me whatever. lawl. Here ya go. I'll also have art there I won't put here. Just, some stuff I don't think fits in, though that may seem awkward to say just bear with me.
